Federal immigration enforcement is harming our communities and putting our democracy at risk. Armed agents, lack of accountability, and threats of escalation demand urgent action. Call on Congress to investigate ICE/CBP/DHS, protect the right to protest, add real guardrails, and reject more funding for this abuse.
Congress is trying to interfere in Washington DC's democratically passed tax policy. Senate committee members will have a hearing on Feb. 4 about two “disapproval resolutions” (S.J. Res. 102 / H.J. Res. 142), which strike down specific DC policies. And the House could schedule a vote soon.
At least 10 states have already taken this exact action as passed in DC to protect their revenues. Only DC, because it lacks voting power, is subjected to this kind of congressional interference.
The freedom to vote is under attack. Since the Supreme Court weakened the Voting Rights Act in 2013, over 100 laws have been passed making it harder to vote, hitting voters of color the hardest.
We need the John R. Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act to restore protections and stop discrimination at the ballot box. Tell Congress: Protect our freedom to vote. Pass the JLVRAA!

It's no secret, when we cast our votes for president, we aren’t voting for the president but for electors from each party who select the president on behalf of the voters.
