What cuts through the noise isn’t ads or headlines, it’s people. Sharing with friends helps break isolation, spread accurate information, and turn concern into collective action. One conversation can spark many more. That’s how real momentum builds. Make sure your friends know how the SAVE Act will impact them before this week's vote.
The SAVE Act would make voter registration more complicated, costly, and risky by imposing new documentation and verification requirements that strain already limited staff and budgets. These barriers disproportionately impact rural communities, low-income voters, young people, naturalized citizens, and women. The SAVE Act centralizes bureaucracy and sidelines the people who make participation possible.
Federal immigration enforcement is harming our communities and putting our democracy at risk. Armed agents, lack of accountability, and threats of escalation demand urgent action. Call on Congress to reject more funding for this abuse, impose guardrails, investigate ICE/CBP/DHS, and protect the right to protest.
Congress is trying to interfere in Washington DC's democratically passed tax policy. Senate committee members will have a hearing on Feb. 4 about two “disapproval resolutions” (S.J. Res. 102 / H.J. Res. 142), which strike down specific DC policies. And the House could schedule a vote soon.
At least 10 states have already taken this exact action as passed in DC to protect their revenues. Only DC, because it lacks voting power, is subjected to this kind of congressional interference.
While we welcome everyone to join our circle on League in Action to defend democracy and empower voters, some events and information are for members only.
